Bailey and Scarlett went into heat at the same time!! After several weeks of progesterone blood tests, we were able to have successful breedings last weekend! (Please do not send and emails with intent to submit deposits until we email out a pregnancy confirmation in 3-4 weeks.)
Scarlett was bred to Tucker, the red golden retriever. I am hopeful that if she becomes pregnant, their puppies will be some of the most well tempered and friendly dogs since Scarlett is so loving and Tucker is a service dog in training! We plan on keeping two females from their litter which will be all red, wavy coated F1 Goldendoodles. F1 Goldendoodles are %50 of each parent breed and may have light shedding so these puppies should be for homes without dog allergies.
Bailey was originally planned to be bred to Apollo the golden retriever. In a unexpected turn of events, Bailey refused his advancements! Her progesterone numbers were perfect so in a last ditch effort, we had one breeding to Guinness, F1 Goldendoodle who has sired all three of our previous litters of F1b Goldendoodles. We are cautiously waiting to see if this will result in a pregnancy, but we will not know for 3-4 weeks. If it does, we will have a litter of F1b Goldendoodles (75% poodle, 25% retriever) who will be cream and apricot, non shedding, hypoallergenic with 1/2 curly coats and 1/2 wavy coats. So much to look forward to in the New Year!
